February 2018 - Inspired Vision

After January’s series of reality checks, we deserve the dose of inspiration and revelations that’s coming our way in February.

On February 9th, Venus moves into dreamy Pisces. Venus is exalted in Pisces, which means Pisces compliments Venus' nature so its energy is magnified. Venus in Pisces is loving, compassionate and creative.  This placement will bring an increased level of inspiration to your finances as well as your romantic life.

The week of February 12th to 18th has the most activity of the entire month, with New Moon/Solar Eclipse energy, Chinese New Year, Valentine’s Day, and Fat Tuesday along with a tricky square and two sign changes.  With Fat Tuesday on the 13th, means that Ash Wednesday and Valentine’s Day clash on the 14th.  These events are the lead in to the New Moon/Partial Solar Eclipse in Aquarius on the 15th. New Moons are a fresh start and in Aquarius, your intimately personal visions are seen as part of the greater whole. Nurture dreams that send the best of you back out into the world. While a partial eclipse is not as powerful as a total eclipse, its energy in no way should be discounted.

In the Eastern Zodiac, we move from the Fire Rooster to the collaborative and loyal Earth Dog. I’ll have more on this in a later post.

Mars squares Neptune on February 17th. This two-day transit brings considerable doubts about your life. Your energy level is very low. There is a tendency to deceive others or be deceived. Be careful, as doing something very impractical is likely during this transit.  Later this same day, Mercury enters Pisces, the sign of its “Fall” and communication will get tricky.  Mercury wants nothing but the facts and that’s a tall order in emotional and vague Pisces.

The Sun moves from cerebral Aquarius into heart-centered Pisces on February 18th. The last sign of the zodiac, Pisces marks the end of the astrological year. Now is the final stage of winter, a time for tying up loose ends and preparing for the coming spring. Pisces ends one cycle and brings us to the brink of a new one that starts again in Aries. But we must first empty ourselves of all that forms a barrier between us and that “something new.” If we resist the closure process of Pisces, we may not retain the rewards we have harvested. Use this period to reconnect with Divine, to enter into inner stillness, as you seek answers for the goals you want to plant in spring.

Overall, while the beginning of February may feel a little unsettled, by the end of the month we will definitely start to feel more in sync with the vibrations of the year. This will help us to receive a boost of energy and lots of motivation to start laying down the groundwork for our aspirations.
