On March 4, Mercury retrograde enters Aquarius, perhaps also helping to clear minds as Mercury moves to air and away from watery Pisces. As Mercury re-enters Aquarius, we begin to question our friendships and connections, perhaps start thinking about the future. Possible negative manifestations are problems with friends and groups, political disagreements, technical glitches and mental anxiety.

February is a much lighter month than January and will help all of us to ease into the new vibrations that 2020 has in store for us.

We begin the month with the Sun making its annual visit to independence loving Aquarius until February 18 and passionate Mars is in Sagittarius, the sign of freedom and adventure, until February 16. Venus, the planet of romance, shifts into trailblazing Aries on February 7 which means Venus and Mars will all be in fire signs.

This Saturn/Pluto conjunction only occurs every 34 years and no one alive has experienced it in Capricorn. The last time these two planets were in Capricorn was in 1518; Henry the VIII was King of England and the Protestant reformation began when Martin Luther pinned his Ninety-five Theses on Wittenberg Castle Church door. The results of this alignment are life-changing and long-lasting. We will feel the energy of this conjunction all year, but may not realize the effects until much later.

This moon makes up the bookends of the Cancer Full Moons opening and closing this year.  Because Cancer (ruled by the Moon) is the ultimate feminine sign this is a tip-off that women and the rise of feminine power will be highlighted this year.  This Moon is doubly special as it is an eclipse.

We begin the month with a high dose of Capricorn energy with the Sun, Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto are all clustered in in this goal-oriented earth sign. Under the discerning and cautious Capricorn energy that opens 2020, we’re prodded to take stock of what we have, where we’re going and how long our current resources will last.
