Eclipses act like doorways into different energy paths and are powerful enough to transform and change the direction of your life. The last eclipse was in September 2016 and February’s Eclipse on the 10th is going to bring an end to whatever energy began at that time. Lunar Eclipses are always viewed in astrology as being deeply transformative times. Seeing that the Eclipse falls in the sign of Leo, there is going to be a fiery element to this Full Moon. This energy is going to help push things along but it is also going to provoke abrupt endings. If something needs to be gone from your life, if something needs to come to an end, this Eclipse is going to set the wheels in motion and ensure that happens.
Ruled by the Sun, Leo’s symbol is the Lion, King of the Jungle. It is likely that this Eclipse energy will allow you to stand up and take ownership of your life as the Lion answers to no one. This time could be a major moment of opening our hearts and speaking our truths. There could be some eye-opening drama and emotional flare-ups.
But there’s an added interesting element to this particular Eclipse. The Moon is part of a Grand Fire Trine that includes Saturn in Sagittarius and Uranus in Aries. This combines the best of both worlds, as Saturn provides stability and Uranus creates change. Uranus (which rules the Aquarius Sun) with an eclipse is usually a recipe for shocks and upsets, but Saturn's steadying hand suggests these results should involve smooth progress. Even better, optimistic Jupiter in Libra will trine the Sun/sextile the Moon. Jupiter will be Retrograde, but this does not weaken its influence. I see Jupiter Retrograde as concentrated growth in one area. You're pulling back in order to focus on what has the most potential. That potential will feed into this eclipse.
Given the current political climate, this first Eclipse is going to be an incredibly powerful guiding force. Trust whatever unfolds and know that it is all for a much higher purpose.
