Beginning today for 5 months until November 22nd, Neptune will orbit Retrograde. If you’ve read enough of my post here, you will remember that Planets in retrograde are not actually spinning backwards, it is entirely an optical illusion as seen from Earth. In astrology, this illusion manifests as a “backwards” functioning of the planetary roles.
Mars enters maternal Cancer on June 4, the sign of his fall. (A planet being in the sign of its Fall is the most difficult place for planets to express their nature. It is an uncomfortable, like being forced to be in a place where you are not welcome.) Cancer is a water sign and is emotional. So when fiery Mars moves into this sign, old hurts, anger and issue can resurface. We are more sensitive and quick to argue. Whatever happens, there’s a confrontation (Mars) with our feelings (Cancer).
Today the Nodes change signs from the Virgo/Pisces axis to Leo/Aquarius. Since November of 2015 we have been urged to implement improvements in our lives, paying attention to small details to create a healthier environment. Practicing what we preach has been a key component of this transit. We’ve had to learn humility while releasing destructive behavior. The theme of these Nodes was that prayers alone would not be enough to activate change – we had to put action behind the pretty words.
